Ho Chi Minh City, September 12, 2025 – Gia Dinh Hospital has officially launched a pilot program for an intelligent reception robot tasked with welcoming and guiding patients in the main lobby area. This initiative represents a significant milestone in integrating Industry 4.0 technologies into healthcare operations, contributing to the development of smart hospital models in Vietnam.

Reception Robot – Maximizing Support for Patients and Their Families
According to the leadership of Gia Dinh People’s Hospital, the reception robot is equipped with several outstanding features, including:
-
Proactively greeting, communicating with, and guiding patients to examination rooms and treatment departments.
-
Providing basic information on administrative procedures and the locations of hospital departments.
-
Reducing the workload for reception staff, especially during peak hours when patient volume is high.

In the first days of implementation, many patients and their families expressed excitement when receiving assistance from the reception robot, which provided information and guided them to the appropriate examination areas.
Pan Robotics – Solution Implementation Partner
The reception robot project at Gia Dinh People’s Hospital is implemented by Pan Robotics. The robot is officially imported and fully localized with Vietnamese software and interface customization to ensure compatibility with the workflow and operational environment of public hospitals in Vietnam.

This is the first time a reception robot has been piloted at a major public hospital in Vietnam. Pan Robotics hopes that the robot will become a valuable support tool, enhancing the patient experience while helping the hospital operate in a more professional and modern manner.
Pilot Phase and Future Directions
According to the plan, the reception robot will undergo a two-week pilot to assess its operational performance, interaction level, and overall effectiveness. If the results meet expectations, the model will be expanded with additional robots deployed across various areas of the hospital.
Experts note that the introduction of a reception robot in a public hospital is a clear indicator of the ongoing digitalization trend in healthcare. In the future, robots may be equipped with additional capabilities such as appointment management, basic medical consultation, and electronic data integration, helping to further streamline medical procedures.
The pilot deployment of the reception robot at Gia Dinh People’s Hospital demonstrates a strong commitment to innovation and the adoption of advanced technologies in healthcare services. As the implementing partner, Pan Robotics continues to reinforce its pioneering position in the service robotics industry in Vietnam, paving the way for wider adoption of this model in hospitals nationwide.
